These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the services provided by Away by Auntie (“Company,” “I,” “me,” “my,” “Auntie”, or “Auntie’s”). By purchasing or using Away by Auntie’s services, you (“Client,” “you,” or “your”) agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Scope of Services
Away by Auntie provides custom travel itineraries, walking routes, related planning services, and optional printed materials based on Auntie’s personal experience and independent research. Away by Auntie does not act as a travel agent or tour operator and does not book or manage any reservations, tickets, or payments on your behalf. All recommendations are provided for informational purposes only.
2. Client Responsibilities
By purchasing and using any of Auntie’s services, you acknowledge and agree that:
You are solely responsible for ensuring you have all required travel documents (e.g., valid passports, visas, permits).
You are responsible for meeting any health requirements of your destination (e.g., vaccinations, medications, health insurance).
You are responsible for exercising caution, good judgment, and common sense when following any itinerary, walking route, or recommendation provided in Auntie’s itineraries.
You understand that recommendations are based on Auntie’s personal knowledge and research, and your experience may vary.
You understand that information in itineraries (such as hours, pricing, and accessibility) may change, and it is your responsibility to confirm current details before travel.
You agree to use all itineraries and related materials for your personal travel planning only and not for commercial, resale, or group tour purposes without prior written consent.
3. Limitations of Responsibility
Auntie cannot control and is not responsible for weather, natural events, airline delays or cancellations, strikes, closures, or other disruptions that may affect your trip.
Auntie is not liable for the policies, quality, safety, or operations of any third-party company, restaurant, hotel, tour, or other business mentioned in provided itineraries or recommendations.
Auntie is not responsible for any injury, illness, loss, damage, or other incident that may occur while traveling or using Away by Auntie services.
This includes any errors, omissions, or technical issues related to digital downloads, links, or map access.
4. Intellectual Property
All itineraries, walking routes, maps, materials, written content, and design elements provided are the intellectual property of Away by Auntie. They are provided for your personal use only and may not be copied, distributed, or resold without written permission.
5. Payment & Refunds
All payments are due in full at the time of purchase. Because Away by Auntie’s services are custom and digital in nature, all sales are final once work has begun or digital materials have been delivered. For printed products, replacements are only offered in the case of production errors or damage in transit, reported within 7 days of delivery. Exceptions may be made only at Auntie’s discretion.
6. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Connecticut, without regard to conflict of law principles.
7. Acknowledgment of Risk
By purchasing or using Away by Auntie services, you acknowledge that travel involves inherent risks. You agree to assume full responsibility for your safety, choices, and actions while traveling. You release Away by Auntie and its affiliates from any liability related to injury, loss, damage, delay, or other incidents arising from your travels or use of any recommendations.
8. Acceptance of Terms
By purchasing or using Away by Auntie services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions. These Terms apply to all Away by Auntie services, digital products, print products, and related materials.
